This is rather sweet; a history of Primavera Sound in site maps...this year's would be handy, however.

You don't think they'd actually publish a site map at any point before the actual week, do you? :)
I love/hate the fact that there are just enough changes each year to make me have to think about where stuff is...

I really miss the old ATP stage but appreciate it had to be moved due to the walkways being quite badly damaged down that end. It was OK where they had it last year, I suppose...

Normally I'm on full-on Primavera excitement mode by now but I'm struggling to think of anything past the Manchester 10k, it appears to have taken over my life.... but at least by the time I've finished it it'll be two weeks til Primavera and I will seriously feel I have earned it!

I do hope there's a comedy booze sponsor this year. We still have about 20 of those plastic Martini beakers from (I think) 2013.
And I asked, "Are you dreaming about a crow?"
And there she was....

So long as there's Wine Corner, that'll do me.

On closer inspection, that's Swans indoors versus sets by Fucked Up and Einsturzende Neubauten. Close thing, but sitting down watching Swans is wrong.

Hankering for a martini already?

As it turned out, seeing Swans while sat down was absolutely fine, if a little disturbing...I had to keep reminding myself I wasn't in a cinema. Plus they didn't do a really long set, so I saw some of Fucked Up & all of Neubauten anyway (and Fucked Up again at the closing night party).

Indeed, is it next year yet?

Tickets bought, hotel booked :)

Not bothering with the discount VIPs this year cos they've gone up, not by much but enough to make them not really worth it for us. Discount regular tickets are still shockingly good value at 125 euros (today and tomorrow only).

Only 355(ish) days to go.

All is good.

TIME TO START THE 2016 BANDS RUMOUR MILL!

Well, let's put Shellac in there straight away.
Seems Explosions In The Sky have come out of hibernation, ATP are booking the tour and it's around the right time (Blackout spotted that one, credit where it's due).
Low are touring Europe late May & early June, also ATP-linked, so surely.
Lush. It's traditional for a shoegaze band to reform and headline, and they've done the former.

Just a bit of fun, nothing serious, etc...

I see Sigur Ros have announced a string of festival dates over the summer 'with more to come'....go on go on go on, you will you will you will...

There's usually a bit of crossover from Field Day. PJ Harvey & Goat will do nicely.

Worth keeping an eye on who's going down well at the various ATP festivals too, a selection are likely to turn up on the big stage.

Celebrating the Equinox eh? Yes, it is that wonderful week whereby next Primavera is now closer than the last.

The Field Day line up is indeed always a good bet, as is the rest of your guesswork.

I've just got no idea myself this year. No idea at all who the big headliners will be, now they have those big stages to fill. Actually that's not quite true, I did think of someone quite likely a few days ago but have now forgotten who it was.

I was going to say I wish they'd get on with it but to be honest I'm not really that arsed, I frequently find the initial announcements rather underwhelming but it's never not been brilliant, even the rubbish year (2013, which seems notably absent from this thread... mind you, looking at my records it seems in 2013 I managed to see Spectrum, Godflesh, Bo Ningen, Evans The Death, Savages, Dinosaur Jr, Deerhunter, Bob Mould, Fucked Up, Dead Skeletons, Fuck Buttons, Ghostigital, Paus, Shellac,The Jesus And Mary Chain, Swans, Goat, Pantha Du Prince, Mount Eerie, Dexys, Thee Oh Sees, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, My Bloody Valentine, so not actually that rubbish - and that's just the good stuff... oh and of course The Suicide Of Western Culture, I think we can pretty much put them on the 2016-and-indeed-every-year list).
And I asked, "Are you dreaming about a crow?"

Blimey, sold out both on full weekends and on Friday day tickets. Those there Radioheads are obviously more popular than I'd thought. I mean I knew they were popular, obviously, but (a) not that much and (b) what, still? I don't remember this ever happening before, although apparently it did they year Bleurgh played, though even then not until a lot nearer the time...

It's got out that it's Sui's birthday. Everyone wants to celebrate that.

Seriously though, yeah, it's a bit weird. Hopefully they're not planning on bringing in any innovations this year like the cashless bars...

Blimey, this kicks off in less than 2 weeks and it's been remarkably quiet. Presumably because this thread is just me & Blackout talking to ourselves. Is no one else on here going?*

*Yes, I do know several folk who do post on here from time to time are going...what about the rest of you though?
