Koko, London, Tuesday 13 February

Another meet up thread, calling for suggestions for pre-gig pubs, offers of lifts, spare beds, cheap digs, spare tickets, cheapest ticket website, and all the usual palaver.

Here’s the venue’s website

http://www.koko.uk.com/listings/british ... 13-02-2018

The link to Ticketweb there wasn’t working when I tried it, so here’s SeeTickets

Where it comes to a whacking £22.85 with fees. London prices, eh? Sure you can find somewhere cheaper than that.

I haven't been to Koko in a really long time. Does anyone know what the timings are generally like there for weeknight gigs? My last train home's at 11pm, so I'd have to be out by about 10.40 which seems fairly realistic for a 9pm stage time (I don't mind missing 5 minutes) or easy for an 8.30 or 8.45. Debating whether to bet on that or go for a night in the C(o)unty Hotel and the dawn post-gig express, but if the latter I need to book soon before it gets extortionate. The train not the County, that's still gloriously cheap :)
And I asked, "Are you dreaming about a crow?"
And there she was....

With it being a midweek gig they could play up to near 11 as no club night after but would think around 10.40 sounds right.

this is what the venue say on such matters ..

. Stage times / Opening times:

Sunday - Thursday:

Doors 7pm. Headline act usually on at 8.30-9pm. Gigs usually end at 11pm.

Friday early show:

Doors 6:30 or 7pm. Headline act usually on at 7.45-8.15pm. Gig ends at 10pm, Antics starts straight afterwards (free entry to anyone at the gig) unless the gig was an all ages show in which case we are obliged to clear the venue.

Support comes from hotly tipped (and actually very good) youngsters (jeez, they really are young) The Orielles, from Halifax (Yorkshire, Yorkshire, The NWRA, etc).

Love Koko, one of my fave venues in London - What about The Lyttleton Arms, just over the road?
