And another one...pre-gig pub, offers of lifts, spare beds, spare tickets, cheapest ticket websites, that type of thing. By gum, there's not much in the way of accommodation in Bexhill is there? And those that there are all seem to be scared of email.

I see that Bexhill has a Shepherd Neame pub (the Royal Sovereign). Mine's a Bishop's Finger.

Royal Sovereign, noted. Though it would appear the CAMRA Good Beer Guide entry is the Albatross Club

It's a club though, so I don't know whether they let the hoi polloi in...I leave that sort of thing up to Alfie Noakes.

Albatross, noted. Do you think they have Gannet on a Stick?
I see on the Shepherd Neame website it says that the Royal Sovereign is a "great place to meet up with mates and watch some sport", they have two satellite screens with sport and stuff on, which puts me off a bit. Probably give it a go, though. It's open until 2.30(!) on Fridays. They have a meat raffle on Sunday which is rather quaint.

For those able to make it down early enough with apropriate transport*, a visit to the BSP shop might be in order. Last heard it was in an intersting building in neighbouring Hastings where I once attended a wedding reception**.

Does anyone know if it's open to callers with/without appointment?

* I will have wheels and happy to provide free taxi service, within reason and personal logistics willing.

** One of the celebrants of which may be coming with me to the show.
