Many of you on here will know Victoria Wood AKA Lady V (wife of BSP's Woody) and that she has real musical talent herself. She has now released 2 tracks as Celestial North, where she plays all instruments apart from drums (no prizes for guessing who got that gig) and sings of course.

I think they are a beautiful slice of ethereal indie rock. Hints of Patti Smith, Decline / Open Season era BSP and Pavement / Low style lo-fi blended with real craft and originality. Brilliant. Check them out here....

Long Meg and Castlerigg there, very nice. Big up da North Lakes prehistory massif.

Little Meg and Sunkenkirk are worth a look too. Sunkenkirk a bit of a trek from Penrith area of course.
There are many great sites in Cumbria.

I once took Sui to Sunkenkirk (Swinside).

But back on topic, Celestial North sound very good indeed. Hints of shoegaze, but the good end of shoegaze :)

Indeed they are. If it wasn't for such an epic round trip for rehearsals I'd be up for it :)
