Love Diamond Mine, great album.

Right now it's Raspberry Beret by The Hindu Love Gods.

Thanks. I'd never heard of them, but googled that song

Not sure, maybe Tom Jones , Sinead O' Connor, and Richard Thompson did better Prince covers, but these Hindu Love God chaps deserve attention.

I've got that album on cassette somewhere.. I'd forgotten all about them. Mike Mills rocks.

Doesn't he just. I remember reading that Mike, Peter and Bill loved rocking out with Warren Zevon as a kind of therapy away from the REM/Stipe madness. I can definitely get that, Stipe seems a lovely bloke but I bet he'd do your head in after a while.

Still in a rawk'ish mood so listening to Soul Asylum's 'Sometime to Return'....

They started following me on Twitter a couple of years ago, just because I mentioned fossils in a completely unrelated tweet.
I was so flattered I bought their EP on iTunes, and said so. At which point they stopped following me.
