Currently reading the recently re-actived Ablaze! fanzine. A weighty piece of work, interviews with Sleaford Mods, Katie Harkin, Laetia Sadier and much, much more. It took about 30 seconds for me to remember why I sometimes found the original zine a bit hard going back in the 90s. The articles are often more about the author than the supposed subject. Still, I'm glad it's back, faults and all.
That's all very 1980s. It was a short lived phenomenon even then. James Brown's Attack on Bzag was probably the best example.
True...shame it's still noticeable in this new! improved! version of Ablaze. Wouldn't want to put anyone off it, but that's how it looks to me.
I know I've read AOBzag, think I may still have a copy or two in the house...don't remember much about it though.
