Good spot.

Anyone know why the "middle two" Wilkinson brothers don't get a mention in DIFYM?

And sincere apologies if the question offends. It just seemed odd to me.

Bill Werbeniuk

Werbeniuk was noted for the copious amounts of alcohol he consumed before and during matches – between 30 and 50 pints of lager per day.[2][4] He said that he generally drank around six pints of lager before a match and then one pint for each frame. He said he did this to counteract a familial benign essential tremor.[this quote needs a citation] Later in his career he also took propranolol, a beta blocker to cope with the effects of his alcohol consumption on his heart.[5]

Some of Werbeniuk's most famous feats of drinking include: 76 cans of lager during a game with John Spencer in Australia in the 1970s;[2] 43 pints of lager in a snooker match/drinking contest against Scotsman Eddie Sinclair in which, after Sinclair had passed out following his 42nd pint, Werbeniuk was reported to say "I'm away to the bar now for a proper drink";[6] 28 pints of lager and 16 whiskies over the course of 11 frames during a match against Nigel Bond, in January 1990 – after which Werbeniuk then consumed an entire bottle of Scotch to "drown his sorrows" after losing the match

Imagine being sandwiched between him and David Boon on a long haul flight. The fumes alone would be enough to batter your own liver into oblivion.

Great Ashes Moments.......

14. David Boon’s 52 cans, 1989

David Boon scored 21 Test hundreds, including seven against England, but he also may (or may not) have posted the most famous half century of all.

While Boon has always refused to talk about it, several teammates swear he downed 52 beers on the way to the 1989 series, breaking a record of 44 set by Doug Walters and Rod Marsh on earlier tours.

While Boon has said that reports of his record were "a Hans Christian Andersen fairytale", that’s not the way Geoff Lawson and Dean Jones remember it.

Lawson says he was keeping score on airline sickbags and Jones claims to have paced Boon through 22 beers, just the other side of Singapore.

Jones says he went upstairs and fell asleep, waking to loud applause and the announcement from the plane’s captain that Boon had reached 52.

"I know there are plenty of stories flying around about me that have been greatly embellished over the years," Boon said back in 2006.

"But that’s how it is… we played our cricket in an era where blokes learned never to let the truth get in the way of a good story."

He averaged 55 as Australia won the series 4-0.
