Festivals 2020

Postby pomfob » Mon Jan 20, 2020 11:03 am

Morning all! As the first show of the year has been announced, and it's sort of a summer festival, might as well start a new festival thread...but then again, as 2020 has been rescheduled, let's not :(

Good morning sir.

This really really needs to act as a springboard to a classic "while we're up that way, we might as well call in at..." gig.

Hope they can think of somewhere nearby...

Lots of options for warm up gigs in the West Yorkshire area for 'em...some more regular haunts than others :)

Out of the Present was performed at CERN a few years ago, and I think I saw it performed at BFI London? It was quite electronic.

And I'm gutted the forum is broken so I can't upload my profile photo. I suppose I can sign off right here...

IIRC the BFI outing wasn't an actual performance, but a screening of the film with the (recorded) yanoble soundtrack, as support for an actual performance of Man of Arran.

Yep! That's why I couldn't access memories of a live performance but knew I'd heard it in London, though I think it was played before From The Sea To The Land Beyond.

I've changed the dates for Halifax & Godney, but to be honest I think they're both pretty unlikely now. Still, I hope to be proved wrong and we're all happy & free come September.

Looks like the Godney Gathering has been moved to next year, same time same place type of thing..

Friday 16 July 2021 – Saturday 17 July 2021
Godney Gathering 2021

also wondering about the O2 Academy Leicester date as it's still down as Saturday 27 June, if so it would make it the only one this summer not to have been moved..

Aye, this has turned out to be the most redundant thread ever, hasn't it? When I'm feeling a bit more positive, I'll set up a festivals 2021 thread.

Leicester moved to Wednesday 21 February now. Ticket holders should have received emails about that.
