Great night. Small venue crowded to the gills. Extremely hot.
No Abi...anyone know?
Set list:
Machineries of Joy
Who's In Control
Atom
Green Goddess
Bad Bohemian

What You're Doing
Peach Blossom

Lights Out For Darker Skies
Remember Me
Two Fingers

Folly
Katzenjammer
No Lucifer

Spirit of St. Louis
Carrion
Waving Flags
The Great Skua

Band seemed in good spirits but maybe Neil a little subdued. Would have liked him to be more to the fore on his songs. All played with great verve. New songs all sound very promising...Katzenjammer was reassuringly wild.
Yan crowd surfing plus two bears. Over all, very fine night.

Yeah, the new songs sounded great last night, lots of shimmering synths. I really hope they manage to keep that rougher sounding 'edge' for the recorded versions. Peach Blossom took a while for its beauty to shine through, but was liking it by the end.

Katzenjammer was an absolute highlight for me. With its banging thudding riff constant throughout the song, it sounded like a cross between 'Water Tower' and 'South Westerlies' from the LTDITP Alternatives album. Only better.

Jeez, you're right. Bloody hot last night.

There was a tweet on the BSP site about Abi's absence for this mini-tour.
