BSP fund-raising auction

Postby The Secretary » Wed Oct 22, 2008 4:13 pm

Dear All,

On Monday 27 October, British Sea Power will play at a concert celebrating the life and times of the late Nick Sanderon of Earl Brutus and The Jesus And Mary Chain.

Train Driver In Eyeliner
A Tribute To Nick Sanderson
London Forum
Monday 27 October

Full live sets from The Jesus And Mary Chain, British Sea Power and Black Box Recorder.

This night will raise funds for Nick’s family.

To add a little to this fund-raising, BSP are also holding AN AUCTION.

As BSP observers will know, the band’s 2003 single Remember Me came with a limited edition of 2,003 seven-inch singles - each with the sleeve hand-inscribed to someone worthy of remembrance. BSP have located the seven-inch single dedicated to Nick Sanderson - and it is now up for auction. The single sleeve will be further hand-adorned by BSP in a manner appropriate to Sandy’s memory.

Please place yours bids here - on this BSP Forum thread.

We, of course, much appreciate the honesty and to-the-bone goodness of the BSP audience. It’s expected this auction will go nice and smooth. But if some ungovernable fool launches a bid, we reserve the right to remove this bid. In the event of any auction uncertainty, British Sea Power reserve the right to decide on the auction winner.

The auction will close at 6pm on Tuesday 28 October.

With thanks,
The Secretary

I'm an ungovernable fool, but I'll take it up to a hundred quid anyway.
