Fucking brilliant. A pleasing 14 for me.

I always liken following BSP on tour to watching your football team play away from home, albeit without segregation for the regulars. This is the inevitable end result.

47 (I think!). Will be 48 after the weekend. Defo more music venues than football grounds for me.
Kevo or Matthew Wood? Malevolence or good?

56 - or 57 if you take into account that Manchester Nynex and Manchester MEN are actually the same place.

A quick diary check reveals I have visited 87 different UK venues in 2007 alone, although many of them are not in that list...

21 - 18 of them in London.

Speaking of which, despite its BSP connection I wouldn't call Cargo a key venue. You should have The Forum in there though but.
Come back, Sidney, I wanna chastise you.

27, and given the years of Captain Q and Bancroftboy I am quite proud of that.

19 - which is more than i thought (could even be more if the Rescue Rooms or the Social are reincarnations of earlier venues...) - does the Boardwalk in Manchester no longer exist then?

Closed in 1998. Not reincarnated as anything.

I thought it might trigger some debate about what's "key" and what isn't. Agree with CQ about Cargo/ Forum though and suitably embarassed to find out that Nynex and MEN are one in the same - particularly as I have been in "both" venues. Spose it's a bit like Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic circa 1988. I can be sure about some that I haven't done and sure about plenty that I have but I'm unsure about a few of them. I've been asked to leave four of them is all can say with much certainty.

If you wish, you could substitute one of the Manchester duplicates with Blackpool Winter Gardens / Empress Ballroom (the same place) which is a pretty key venue for the northwest with both The Stone Roses and the White Stripes having recorded live DVDs there and a great many British and international chart-level bands of both the indie and "mainstream" variety playing there.

25 and I'd describe about none as 'key' venues.
