That's a good idea - should go down nicely with a drop of Manzanilla at the sherry on the beach party we should be throwing again this year.

beach party

Perhaps 'coastal gathering' would be more apt. Not that im knocking it mind you, but it wasnt of Goan or Ibizan proportions so dont want people to be mislead. Although the site of half a dozen middle aged, pale and kagool'd folk drinking sherry and eating cheeses on a wild and windy day on brighton's functional alternative to a beach, did draw some strange looks from speedy passers by.

Line-ups and schedule for this now up. It works out incredibly badly for me - no fewer than six bands I want to see clash as joint headliners on the Thursday! In contrast, on the Friday there is no-one at all I want to see until 11.30pm...

So who's going then?

We're planning a bit of sherry & nibbles on the beach, probably mid-day ish on Friday, depending upon the weather.

If you're around, text me & I'll reply as & when details are confirmed (or send me a pm if you haven't got my mobile number).

super early bird tickets for May 2011 went on sale today

£35 regular or £80 delegate

it looks like they've brought the delegate prices in line with the 'priority' tickets (whatever they were) that they introduced at an infuriatingly late stage last year

excellent festival but i wish they would spread the bands out more...clashes galore between 6pm and 10pm and then only a couple of heaving venues after that

Yes, annoying that they aren't releasing 'early bird' priority tickets. Their moving of the goal posts regarding ticketing arrangements really pissed me off last year. Disappointing given what a great weekend it is.

Can we expect more of the same, Red C - especially the smoked mackeral and horseraddish pate, which went down so well last year.

I think we've "done" the sherry thing enough now.

If I can get the ice, we might do a vodka luge party instead.

Nora, I'd guess that you've never tried a vodka luge.
