Krankenhaus Festival, Cumbria, Friday 6- Sunday 8 September

Right then folks, another thread about the Kranken-Munken-Festen...let’s have your offers of lifts to the wilds of Cumbria, spare sleeping bags, spare tickets, plans for non-festival fun and so on.

There’s a couple of pubs in Ravenglass, one right by the heritage railway and the other one is nearby and guided. Guided pub in Eskdale too, apparently. For the pedants among you, that’s from the 2019 Good Beer Guide, not the recently published 2020 edition.

Tickets and information on the festival website

https://krankenhausfestival.com/

from which I have taken the following crucial info…

Please do not attempt to try the scenic route over the hills if your vehicle is past its best or unusually large. The best advice is to ignore Sat Nav and stick to the A595. The postcode for the festival car park and entrance is CA18 1RD. Look for festival signs.

Ravenglass is a short drive or 30 minute walk away from the festival site.

Booze – just bottles and cans, no glass, and only in the campsite.

Take all of your rubbish with you when you leave, and deposit any recyclables in the bins throughout the grounds.

The castle café and gift shop and the barn bar will accept card payments. However due to the weak phone signals it may not be possible to pay with cards for some of the food vendors and the merchandise stand so be prepared to have some cash.

There are no- charge ATMs in Ravenglass and at the Pennington Hotel 5 minutes’ drive from the festival site.

There are no electric hook-ups at the festival, so bring your portable phone chargers, and make sure they’re charged up.

If anyone has a spare ticket they want to exchange for money that isn't exactly the actual original price, let me know as my mate has over-committed and is now coming up with us but not going to the festival due to lack of funds! I feel like he shouldn't miss this. Ta.

I should also mention I saw somewhere that there's plans for a mass photo of the assembled masses in BSP t-shirts, so bring yours if you want to, ahem, 'get involved'.

Bob, I’ve got a spare - i’d accept £100 at this stage if that helps?

Hi Tom, if you're willing to go lower we could be on, he won't pay 100, he's tight and has to leave early Sunday so will miss the 3rd day. 80?
