The new Marie Stern one is pretty bloody special

In case anyone's interested, I put together a Spotify best of 2010 while bored. Tap this into the search bar to listen and criticise. It's shorn of Arcade Fire and Avi Buffalo tracks as they're not on Spotify, but otherwise, knock yourself out.

Fresh & Onlys
Clinic
(great double-bill gig recently)
Deerhunter
Wild Norhing
Domint Legs ep
Fran Healy
Tame Impala
The Paradise Motel
Rose Elinor Dougall
Love Language

I actually listen to more music now, and can enjoy albums at my leisure by virtue of convenience: working in the yard, my kids' sports practices, in bed, apple tv, on the road! Though I sill buy vinyl and CDs.
I hope books don't follow the same trend to that degree, as contradictory as that may sound.

That photo was uncalled for. For any thread, but especially this one being a popular thread this time of year.
Now that we' got a laugh, can we make it disappear? I know, I'm a priss.

I hate almost all forms of censorship, or cries to ban or prohibit, but in this case you're right.

While I'm on;

The Fall - YFOC
TSDOLE - Drown your heart again
The National - High Violet
If anyone can British Sea Power can
Has anybody seen Woody, Noble and Yan?

Friedrich Cerha's 1959-60 orchestral cycle Spiegel I-VII. Think of the eerie music that Kubrick used for the monolith and star ride scenes in 2001 (György Ligeti), and you'll have some idea what Cerha sounds like.

The Deerhunter record missed me & lots of people have been ranting about it. Is it worth the rants I wonder.
