There's a rock family tree connection I'd failed to spot. Whatever next? Suggestions please...

Still no UK dates for the Sisters...? I've seen quite a few foreign gigs on Dime but don't think they have played here for years, and probably years.

Is Mr Eldritch still in disupte with the record company?

The Sisters have played the odd gig and Ithey're playing Leeds and London in April. I saw the revived dog and pony show a few years back at the Forum. It was like a tribute band so I shan't be going (probably).

they are allegedly free of East West and recording again, but I wouldn't expect anything more than glacial progress. Seems to suit Eldritch (he's go to regret that now surely?) to trot out round Europe every so often to top up the funds then go back to whatever he does.

I've never really looked too deeply into Sisters of Mercy, but the stuff I have heard has always been cool. Anyway I just wish this tour was stretched across the UK, I think it would be quite something to see iLIKETRAINS put along side true Gothic legends - which is where I think they should be best judged really. iLIKETRAINS have a lot of sides to them, but for me they are best known as the only British gothic band in the past few years who have offered something new.
iLIKETRAINS are a brilliant band, I must see them again soon!

Also ss some of you with exceptional observational skills may have noticed, our track 'The Voice of Reason' is featuring on television adverts for award winning film 'The Wrestler'. If you are interested you can view the adverts here - http://uk.youtube.com/iLiKETRAiNSofficial. Admittedly you can only really hear our track for about 3 seconds, but its better than nothing! Also the film is rather good, so you should go and see that.

Work is continuing on the next album. The writing is beginning to take shape, and we hope to start some recording shortly after we return from our European jaunt.

with love iLT x"

Just Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden and Munich for me.

Leaving aside how lovely it is that you don't equate being goth with being shite, you'd need a time machine to do that properly. Sisters of Mercy '03 were a hard rock facsimilie of their former selves.

Vision Thing was more hard rock than Goth for me.

Yeah, the rot had set in (Tony James ffs...) but I still quite like it as an album, 'cos it's (mostly) quality hard rock. Standards slipped further...
