Someone is playing this classic right now in the office (never had music when I could afford my own office): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_iC0MyIykM

Warning - contains shorts (also an amusing HMHB "incident");

The wonder of the world, the beauty and the power,
the shapes of things, their colours,
lights and shades; these I saw.
Look ye also while life lasts. BB

RIP Idris Muhamed.

This is from the first bunch of albums I bought after getting my first 'proper' Hi Fi system at 16, and sounded brilliant through the Tanoy Devons which nearly 40 years on, I've still got.

It's still one of the finest sounding bits of disco drumming ever, and a great rocking guitar outro - skip to 7:10 if you can't sit through the whole 8+ minutes:

Thank you. I'll try and keep you company every now and then. Will be checking out your older posts before I butt in with more funk action. Loving the Idris Muhammed.

Thanks - that's brilliant, and not a track I knew (it not being on the one compilation that I own).

I had the privilege of seeing him perform at The Astoria - a performance arranged and recorded by British Satellite Broadcasting (in pre-Sky days) just as he was making a come-back and only a few months before the tragic accident that paralysed him.
