Owned more than one kettle but only one toaster

Learnt a few words in Polish and Norwegian, but forgotten them again

Gone from being on occasional live reviewer for a local music website to managing it

Seen more bands than I've had hot dinners

Visited a great many places for the first time including the Channel Tunnel, Scunthorpe, two Perths on different hemispheres, Cherwell Valley Services on the M40 on a great many occasions, and The Isle Of Wight - but not yet The Isle Of Man

Not really "grown up" as much as I should have done given that the seven years in question comprises most of my 30s and lots of my friends have had weddings and babies during this time

Never owned an umbrella
And I asked, "Are you dreaming about a crow?"
And there she was....

since joining the forum i have

spent far too much money on tickets to see men in tights and/or loincloths
developed an unhealthy interest in men with big noses and/or flares
buried two cats
got a new old cat from shelter who must have seen us coming
seen BSP far too many times to have enjoyed them all
continued to have the worst musical taste on the forum, Dave the Owl excluded, though he probably has more crossover points of musical agreement
written another 30 000 words of drivel for my magnum opus in progress
made some truly great friends and had some of the best times of my life pretending I am not old , creaky and dropping to bits
"Even if I saw these names grouped together completely out of context away from here... lets say a set of albums sitting together in a charity shop - I would immediately think of you and no other!"

thanks Gary...

You are the only person I know for whom that is clearly not just a figure of speech.

Good grief, poor islanders! Maybe we could briefly evacuate those who live there on humanitarian grounds and then gas the place, put them all out of their misery...!

One of my best mates is moving there soon actually and if there is a music scene he will find it. Still wish BSP would play there though.

signed up to donate a kidney to my brother - he's type 1 diabetes and his kidneys are failing. The donation takes place 16 July - wish me luck!

I was interviewed on local radio about it yesterday. The aim was to push the live donation word.

Listen again from here - 1hr 27 in i reckon, either way it's straight after the 11am news

unfortunately some nutter went on the rampage in Cumbria and the impact was lost I reckon!

Ruined my liver.
Ruined my sinuses.
Downloaded a lot of porn.
Watched Manchester City win bugger all.
Upset a lot of people.
Made up with some of them.
Put on weight.
Had a PM death threat.
Wallpapered the back bedroom.
Found a cure for cancer.
Voted Labour.
Sadly lost a border collie.
Sadly not lost Mrs Falconscotch.
Backed the hundred slowest horses and dogs ever born, heavily.
Ceased contact with Derrick Bird.
James Dean was just a careless driver, and Marilyn Monroe was just a slag...

Basically anything of note in my life, ever? What's more disturbing is how much of that sprung directly from this forum.

And it's at precisely the right place on the trip to the in-laws down south to stop between the kids waking up and going mental. Shit.
