Remember Him

Postby Voyager1 » Sun Nov 30, 2014 8:12 pm

My friend, Chris, passed away from a brain tumor in the early hours of this morning. Whilst not a regular forum member by any means - a few from here may have met him when he and I went to BSP gigs in brum and sometimes Notts (and once in Kendal) - he was as big a British Sea Power fan as anyone and it would have felt wrong not to have mentioned his passing here. He was 29.

Not sure if I would have met him, but nevertheless very sorry to hear of your loss, and the loss of a kindred spirit in all things BSP.
how's it going to end?

I think I may have met him in Nottingham though my memory isn't what it used to be, I do have a kind of "mental polaroid" of talking to you and one of your friends in the corridor at Rescue Rooms... so sad to lose anyone so young x
And I asked, "Are you dreaming about a crow?"
And there she was....

Thank you everyone.

I have a small request. Tomorrow is Chris's funeral. He has asked for a number of songs to be played at the service. One of these is The Great Skua. If you can, vould you listen to it yourselves at some point tomorrow, just once? It is, i know, an entirely futile gesture on just about every level other than making me feel that it might be nice somehow.

I'd be very surprised if 'Skua' isn't played at Krankenhaus tomorrow, at which point everyone there who has read this will be remembering him.
