Kendal Calling stage time

Postby kevo on Sat Jul 31, 2010 11:56 pm

For anyone heading to Penrith tomorrow, I am informed by agent Blackout that the stage time for BSP is 7.15pm (earlier than you might expect given that they are second on the bill...)
Will it be fish or possibly cheese?

Very little rain all weekend, and despite the mediocre festival, BSP put out an excellent show (No way I can remember the setlist, standard festival one, opening with wooden horse and a nice split of decline/dylrm tracks).

Not entirely sure the crowd was as into it as they could have been given it is sorta home turf - but it was interesting to see the average age at the front of the crowd escalate from a bunch of snotty and unruly 16 year olds to a bunch of sedate, hairy middle aged men/women.

I'm sure somebody will do a better job of describing it than me, but as nobody else has bothered yet... :)

agree with all that...the crowd was a little quiet admittedly but probably due to it being a sunday night at a festival

the band seemed really up for it and are right on form...St Louis culminated with Yan repeatedly smashing his tambourine against a plastic beer bottle until he was covered in the contents...great looking stage, Woody was just about visible through a forest of foliage

the sound on the main stage was very good and it belted out into the natural amphitheatre...really well laid out venue, plenty of food, real ales, sideshows etc
