Did anyone see Flintlock FFS (Grove Tavern 8-8:30)?

Rembeber them?

No? This was them in their "Tomorrow's People" heyday:

and just to remind you of today's people:

I really enjoyed it actually. A really odd venue where BSP were essentially on the dance floor with no elevation at all. But the sound was really good considering and the somewhat small crowd were really into it.

Nice to see a couple of friendly faces (boom, cpt riot) and met the bizarre legend that is Bill the drunken scotsman.

Only saw 2 other bands, Dogs who were pretty good, and 80s Matchbox B Line Disaster who just blew me away.
All in all good times.

They were lower than the crowd

And how completely wonderful were they last night?! And what an utterly great venue to see them in?!

I was particularly pleased that even without lighting rigging and a proper stage, there was still a fair old descent into anarchy and chaos and attempts at endangering life and limb at the end.

Oh, and audience participation: how do the words to that song go again? "Easy! Easy! Easy! Easy!" :-)

Yeah. That was a joke. I should've kept my 5 pounds.

I did look for you. Where were you?

At the front right for a few then left of stage then sobbing in the toilet then failing to catch a bus then dancing in the moonlight with a few tramps.

Wombles of Wimbledon Common

Incredibly utterly devious ... did they make it into something new?

I didn't see Great Uncle Bulgaria in the.... Bulgarian choir though... most disappointed about that. Still, the old boy must be getting on a bit by now ;-)

Enjoyed watching the scottish guy with the hefty walking stick dancing manically at the front (where I was, to the left of the gap!) and waving his stick in a disconcerting kind of way (the bouncer was eyeing him very nervously throughout!). Quality!
