Well, this seems to have slipped under the admittedly shonky radar round here. BSP''s southern contingent, aka The BSP3, or Yan, Noble and Sumner are doing the traditional xmas shows in place of the full group. They played last night at the Con Club in Lewes, and are at the Lexington in London next Monday. Here's a micro-review and set list from Facebook...

So it turns out acoustic gigs can be loud! Incredible show in Lewes last night.

True Adventures (instrumental)
Albert's Eyes
The Lonely
Oily Stage
Childhood Memories
Light Above Descending
Bear (editor's note; fuck yeah!)
North Hanging Rock
Living Is So Easy
Green Goddess
Wooden Horse
---
Lately
Louis
Carrion

If you've a ticket for London, lucky you.

Sounds ace. Just hosed off they haven't managed a northern gig this Christmas.

While I'm on, Happy Christmas and best wishes to all of you.

Mon the Sea Power.

London seems to have been the same set. A Light Above Descending, Bear and Green Goddess were especially great to my ears. Lately sounded surprisingly excellent pared down, and Louis was more madcap than many full-band Louis'.

Bingo with Bo Ningen was fun (even more so that they were calling out numbers higher than anyone had on the cards). I enjoyed Francesa Beard too.

It was my second of nine gigs in seven days. I could've made it ten gigs, but decided to rest. I'm amazed there were no clashes (I already have my first 2020 clash) and I saw three of my favourite artists in 3 nights in London. I also saw a BSP shirt other than mine at the Mono gig last night.
