OOOOH....

100 YEARS A weekend of music and performance to mark the 100 year anniversary of the Armistice. Much loved UK institution British Sea Power will play on Saturday 10th Nov with support from London based experimental post – punk trio Bas Jan.

Plus a Chris Watson installation, Richard Dawson on Sunday afternoon and Shirley Collins Sunday evening.

SPOILER ALERT! It's £77 for a weekend ticket, which seems a bit steep to me. No sign of tickets for individual gigs yet. Having said that, 3 acts I like a lot, one I'm intrigued by and one I've developed a respect for...

Thanks for this; as soon as any further ticket news is available, it'd be good to hear about it.

Cheers.

Curious. Individual tickets now available - BSP a more reasonable £18 + fees. Adding up all those separate tickets comes in at less than the £77 weekender though!

Reckon I'll do t'Sea Power & Dawson... tempting though Shirley Collins is, two nights in the notoriously expensive Tyneside hotels isn't.

I'm sorely tempted by BSP and Dawson for this too, but train fares plus an overnight stay may prove a tad too much at that time (especially as I've splashed out for Jon Hopkins the prior weekend).

Really good night last night I think. Nice venue, nice town, nice crowd. Nice everything really.

The set list is now jam packed with so many great songs, it's like a "Greatest Hits" gig but without any of them really being a hit as such. Unforch.

Roy Wilkinson has just posted on his facebook that prior to scattering Dad Wilkinson's ashes in some of their favourite nature spots last weekend, he and his brothers released a small amount into the air during the gig.

Yep folks, we have read all about Ronald, now we've inhaled him.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I asked, "Are you dreaming about a crow?"
And there she was....

I've had a really painful and uncontrollable cough ever since, so this is interesting to read.
