Seems to be another interesting BSP venue. Contact in Louth who knows the Priory has said. "outdoors for sure. Lots of trees, a river and a mausoleum in the grounds. Lovely place."

Thanks for the heads up Bob, tickets booked.

We've booked into an airbnb in Louth and there were still a couple of others available, around the £45-55 mark.

Venue changd to Kings Head ? Which, coincidentally, is where we have a room reservation. However not sure we're going to make it - if I end up cancelling I'll post on this thread, just incase there's still someone after accommodation. Think it was £70 for the night.

According to the latest newsboost, so it seems. Perhaps the long range weather forecast was not conducive to an outdoor show.

Shame it's not going to be in the lovely Priory grounds, but the King's Head should be interesting because it's tiny (pretty sure bands just play in the bar area) Unless they have a space I've never seen before?

Hi folks,

Yes, sorry, we've had to change venue .. same sort of thing though .. outdoor do (big stage out the back). On reflection, The Priory felt it just wasn't able to host an event the scope/scale/noise of this sort thing at the moment but we're all still friends and looking to do something there in the future.

Any probs/queries, please feel free to pm me.

Bob

Thanks for the updates on this. I'm assuming original tickets I bought for the Priory are still valid for the new venue...?

Cheers, Matt

Yes, of course original tx are valid. There'll be a separate communication from TicketLab in due course.

Cheers

Cracking! I know not of Scooter & the Inappropriate Touches, but Haiku Salut are soo-poib.

I believe British Sea Power have a decent tune or two as well.

Cheers Booster old pal.

Incoming Unofficial Newsboost!
Hi folks .. only 14 more sleeps until BSP hit Louth!
We want you to enjoy your day out in Louth, whether you're local or travelling from afar .. we know of at least 4 coming from our friends in mainland Europe, so come early and enjoy what our little town has to offer. In a poptastic world first, your ticket grants free entry to ascend the church tower, the highest one in the country from where you can see... well, mostly Lincolnshire to be fair. You need to be up and down before 14h00 due to a wedding unforch. There's an art trail and plenty of Blue Plaque action .. Lincolnshire Rising, Tennyson, James Fowler and the 1st branch of Currys that opened as Louth Cycle Centre in 1904 amongst others. Please get to the Kings head early though .. gates open about 18h45 so we can get cracking just after 7. Supports are local band Weekend Offenders first ever proper gig (think Lesser Free Trades Hall .. who knows? #iwasthere) followed by a 40 minute set from the most excellent Haiku Salut as featured on the current Public Service Broadcasting single/album. If you don't know HS .. treat yourself and YouTube their stuff .. Hearts not Parts is our favourite atm but it's all good. Be back to you next week with our thoughts on where to eat/drink, but until then ... Avance! Bob
