Not sure the rest of the line up is that appealing! But it's close to me and presume they will be on around tea time so be easy to get home on the train. Edit -£50 though!

But hey! I thought, it's one of those council-sponsored jobs, so day out in Nottingham, why not?

Then I checked the ticket prices on the website

Oucho!

I guess that means they're NOT on the Saturday at Truck, then.

And yes. Another facepalmingly appalling line-up they seem to have fallen into, though I must say when they found themselves on the same bill as Billy Ocean at Hop Farm a few years back some of us went to watch him mostly for a laugh and he was actually brilliant fun. I was actually half convinced he had died since then but it would appear not! I kind of forget who has and hasn't these days with musicians of a certain age...
And I asked, "Are you dreaming about a crow?"
And there she was....

Fear not chums.

This could lead to one of those top class "gig-on-a-Friday-night-on-the-way-to-a-festival" shows that are usually in the vicinity.

Derby's not far from Nottingham....

Yikes. I wouldn't mind seeing Billy Ocean, but that must be the least appealing BSP-featuring lineup I've ever seen.

I will second (or its third?) that Billy Ocean call was a class act at Hop Farm, but then so was the whole Funkadelic /Parliament wig out that day.

So odd festival lines ups can work..However this is a total shit shower of line up... Please a warm up in Derby ....

+ another 1, and I thought I was likely the only one of the BSP contingent there to have enjoyed the Ocean.

So the second time Billy & BSP have been on the same festival line up. Do you think booking policy occasionally involves a bit of word association?

Didn't someone get murdered there last year? Or at least stabbed a few times.

I think I'd rather die than accidentally overhear literally any of the other acts while waiting for BSP.

It's a council-organised festival for city residents, so the bill is usually pretty commercial. First year I've considered going (thanks to BSP) and it's right on my doorstep, but the price has certainly got hiked up in recent years. Not sure how far down the bill they'll be and thus how long the set would be.
