I've been a huge fan of the band ever since Decline, but over the past two years I've become so obsessed that I seem to only want to listen to BSP. (I listen to other bands, but no one else compares.) I don't know if it would be possible for someone to be more excited than I was awaiting the release of Let the Dancers. I preordered the deluxe set, and I was ecstatic when it finally arrived. Hearing it for the first time was one of those exceptionally rare moments in life when my absurdly high expectations were not just met, but astronomically exceeded. It was as close to a religious experience as I have ever had in my 61 years of life. I have played it at least 50 times over the past couple of weeks, and I like it better each time. I've only now signed up for this message board, and I don't know it took me so long. I live in a small town about an hour's drive north of Seattle. I dearly hope the band comes back to the states soon. Had I planned things better, I would have come Britain and followed the band to every town on this tour. I'm happy to have found A Strange Communication. Now I'm going to read some of the other threads here.

Not sure if anyone posted this and I know it's somewhat late now, but this is a really excellent review from The Quietus (prompted by their listing of the top 100 albums of the year so far, which has LTDITP at a rather stingy number 24)

Kevo or Matthew Wood? Malevolence or good?

In another example of being completely ignored by their own because they're not from fucking Montreal or on 4AD, it's not even in the top 100 albums of the year in the Piccadilly Records and Drowned In Sound lists. Absolutely pathetic!

The DIS one is quite a bizarre list - there's stuff in there I want to like, but is just on the whole too average. And how does Beck's new one get anywhere near a chart like this? If anyone likes it, please let me know. According to the DIS AotY criteria, some people should have talked more about BSP on their forums.

These lists seem to be getting earlier than even Christmas gets every year.

I did spot this recent article on The Decline, however: http://drownedinsound.com/in_depth/4151 ... -sea-power

I guess you folk who don't rely on this forum or the Newsboost for BSP news have already seen it.

New year bump! Was doing some digging on Discogs and I see there's a Japanese version of LTDITP around.

Hmm, doesn't seem to be anything di-- wait, bonus tracks, did you say??

MP3 downloads only... wonder if that Wishful Thinking version is a 100% finished studio one?
