Hi all, just booked for this seeing as BSP are playing at the wedge, anyone ever been? lots of bands and lots of venues in one day, do they release some sort of timetable of what's happening where and when?

Just looking into this myself, thanks for posting, hadn't heard of it before. Having recently spent a weekend down that way I'd be keen to return, any excuse to watch BSP again as well.
I assume the ticket covers all the shows? £21 seems cheep for all those bands. Coasts are quite good, not a patch on BSP of course but harmless enough.

Southsea Festival on Saturday 1 October I believe. Portsmouth isn't that far from Bognor Regis, is it? I'm just thinking that either Sea Power might be hitting Rockaway Beach's ATP-style do as well that weekend, or a side trip from Butlins might be in order for anyone* going to that festival - assuming Saturday's line up isn't stellar.

Southsea Festival is Saturday 1st October http://www.southseafest.com/
Rockaway Beach is Saturday 8th October (and Fri 7th / Sun 9th). http://www.rockawaybeach.co.uk/

Thanks for making me almost shit myself thinking I'd double booked there even though I knew full well I actually hadn't because I always know the dates of everything, you dozy twit :)

OOPS! Sorry sorry sorry!

In my (not very good) defence, I'd not even thought about going to Bognor till last weekend, and I clearly wasn't paying that much attention when I said I'd be up for it.

Back to the drawing board. Ignore me everyone. Ah, you were already. Jolly good.

Wedgwood Rooms is a great venue. BSP always seem to play a blinder there.
Kevo or Matthew Wood? Malevolence or good?

I think they played here a part of the Machinaries tour. Very cool intimate venue and the tapas bar down the street is reason enough to go down there. I ate so much I had to go home and have a nap after the band did their quiet, early set. I think someone on here recommended it.

Saw October Drift earlier this year supporting someone and been meaning to catch them again for a while (atmospheric indie rock type stuff but done well). Mind you that's a big list for one venue, bet they're on before we get into Portsmouth. Recommend to people who are about early though.

Is there a full list or timesheet somewhere?

I'm going with a few other BSP fans. Set times will be released this week according to Twitter - I imagine BSP will be on about 10pm though as it's usually a pretty late one at the Wedge. Hoping for a 90 minute set.

Ah, the full times, there we go.

http://www.southseafest.com/line-up/

Arse. Xaviers and Crows clash with BSP, and yet the artist they've decided to put on immediately prior to BSP so we'll basically have to be in the venue is some nicey nicey hippy dippy singy songy acoustic-strummy singer songwriter which sounds basically like the musical equivalent of waterboarding to me.

Anyone else got any recommendations from the afternoon stuff? I mean for everyone, though my personal preferences are most forms of post-rock, post-punk, shoegaze, noise, psych, electronics and generally nasty stuff. Though as I said before I do quite like October Drift - and sadly our train gets in too late for them. I may just hang round the 5th Hants stage all day, they look like they know what they're doing. (Added later) on which note I have just been informed by a non forum BSP regular that Bullybones, appearing on said stage at 15.55, are amazing. I trust this person's judgement.
