Louth Town Hall July 16

I'm so pleased about this. This is going to be epic. It's so BSP. #justliketheolddays

Venue: Go ogle it.. Lloyd George, suffragettes, balcony, Compton Organ. 400 capacity.
Town: Greenwich Meridian, Tallest (not smallest) church in England, Oliver Cromwell stopped in local curry house ( don't think it was a curry house at the time)
Home of the stars: Robert Wyatt, Rodney Blackstock, John Shuttleworth, Barbra Dickson, Jilted John, Dave (Magazine) Formula, Roy Chubby Brown

Don't be shy about buying tickets. This will sell out as soon as they go on sale locally this week. Last time we did anything like this in Louth was when Dave Formula presented "The Wedding Present" in 1996.. Whatever happened to them? That sold 1100 tickets. #nuffsaid

Anyone know owt about a BSP gig earlier in the day? Friend of mine cryptically mentioned a show before the Town Hall gig and then b*ggered off on vacation. We're going early doors as it is - apparently there's a really good chip shop in Louth. Cheers.

Delighted to say the most excellent Emily Lee is supporting at this one. For anyone still dithering about buying tickets, there literally are only a handful or so left so don't delay, buy today!

And for anyone looking to stop over in Louth, good luck, I'm having the devil's own job finding a B&B. All full of Sea Power fans, no doubt.

There aren't any as far as I can see. And I first looked quite a long time ago. We were was mostly not going anyway due to a prior commitment, I'd say almost definitely not now. Kind of a shame not to get a slightly unusual point on the gig map but don't need the hassle right now.
And I asked, "Are you dreaming about a crow?"
And there she was....

The weekend at blue dot is enough time in a tent for me this year, thankyouverymuch.

Having said that, the pods at this place might be the last chance saloon (with thanks to Tom the Lurker who's probably reading this :) )

Ah, I was mostly going to Louth but now I'm not due to apathy from my lot and some of them being at Latitude. I considered going on my own but the wife has nixed that plan. Now I will never get to sit on one of them benches.

Bitten the bullet & booked into the Priory...no, not that one, the rather expensive hotel in Louth. I'm having ALL the hotel shampoo.

That moment when you walk into a venue and think "Christ, this place is full of pissed farmhands and refugees from Market Rasen races."

And then you have the best BSP night for years.

THERE WERE GROWN MEN INVADING THE STAGE.

Can't remember the set list. Don't care. Utterly utterly bloody wonderful. Well done all of you.

It was indeed a great evening. First time since, I think, 2013 that I've seen them live due to various circumstances, but I was a regular attendee of their gigs in Yorkshire and the East Midlands since I was first captivated by them supporting Six By Seven at the Cockpit in April 2002.

It was up there with the best gigs of their early era! Still full of boundless energy and Noble threatening to do something outrageous. (I'm sure at one time he was contemplating jumping off the stack of speakers into the crowd!)

Loved the 2 dancing bears too!
The inside of a Halex 3-star table tennis ball smells much like you'd expect it to.
