Now this BSP (South) thing has come to light, I'd love BSP (South) and BSP (North) to play at the same gig, but not together. The recent radio and TV appearances with a slimmed-down BSP have been excellent, as they always are, but the smaller line-up adds a new dimension. It'd be from one extreme to the other after Sea of Brass. And while they're at it, why not record BSP (South) and BSP (North) albums too?

But where does this leave Noble? Part of BSP North on Autumn Watch, and now part of BSP South at The Lexington. And where's Wood?
How would they survive back in the wild?

Can I resurrect my 'pick teams' suggestion from a few years back?

I'm picturing a heartbreaking scene in a forest clearing with Yan and Phil on one side of Noble, and Neil 'n' Abi on the other, both calling him and trying to tempt him with Pringles while he whines and takes a few hesitant steps in one direction and then a few back in the other, looking all confused. Obviously he'd eventually plump for team Neil & Abi, because there's better bird watching on Skye.

I'm not sure where Woody fits into this sketch, let's just assume he can teleport between gigs or something.

In this enlightened age I can't see any reason why Nobby shouldn't 'bat for both teams'.

According to Twitter (because you lot always seem to miss what's on there);

'Xmas Krankenhaus likely to incl Decline 'rare & live' CD stuff. Galaxie 500 & Julian Cope covers, Czech EP, Non-LP singles ooh!'

Ooh indeed. Wonder if this'll be the same at Derby?

and add into the mix support from Gaps (quite nice acousticy folk duo, if what I found on YouToob is to be believed) and local heroes ClowWns. Doubt either will be making it to Derby.

Some of us know a certain Clowwns fan who will be travelling to Derby on the basis that she understands they will be playing there also.

Enjoyed last night's stripped back set. They should do more of them. But have to admit it was sad to see Jock looking so ill.
