Interestingly enough, I don't receive any of the S.O.B. emails, so I only just spotted this on facebook. Nice to get WAVs!

Glad I'm not the only one (it wasn't in my junk folder). Grateful if folks could keep posting them up.

My brother pre-ordered the box set for me for my birthday, so presumably he has the special email. He doesn't really like BSP - I bet he's downloaded all the songs just so he can enjoy deleting them.

'Skua' and 'Warm Wind' were so good live with brass. I cannae wait to here the studio versions, by wait I must.

Sad face emoticon.

I thought this interesting:

We will soon be announcing a new release related to the 'Decline Of' anniversary show. Details of this will be coming very soon.

I think it is very much to the bands credit, and very much their style, that they have decided to honour the pre-sale orders even if it means putting the whole proper release back so much. The other musicians involved must be a tad upset too, at the delay in full release.

I'm pretty sad they didn't offer one more chance to pre-order the vinyl before pulling it off sale. I just couldn't stretch to that and the box set in December so figured I'd pick up the record on release, which I guess I will, but that'll be like nearly next year now :(

A lot of goodness in those tracks.

A bit of James Last/Hooked on Classics too (especially the middle bit of Heavenly Waters). I'm still deciding what to make of that.

Another release on Golden Chariot.

Looks even more likely they not releasing on Rough Trade anymore do we take it?

Apparently was just a technical issue (thanks person who tipped me off there) - still available for anyone else who needs one (phew!) :)

I don't think that's necessarily the case, thought I have no evidence or knowledge, but it's not unknown for bands to release "regular" studio albums through a label deal and other stuff on their own imprint or smaller labels, I guess we'll see when the next new studio album appears.

I could see that on the Sea Of Brass project but a re-release of the debut (I would presume) would usually have involved the original label too as they also get some of the reflected glory.

As you say, it is all uneducated speculation at this point anyway.

I think this version of A Light Above has cemented my view that it's up there with the very best songs the band have ever recorded - on headphones the interplay of brass and guitars is brilliant.

If you log in on the website, go to my account, click on the order details for s.o.b., and then download the full studio album should be there
