BSP were a bit brain-blasted by the power cut. So much so that they didn't form a plan to go and say something to the audience – which might have been good. As you know the band are maybe more do-ers than talkers some times... But Woody and Martin did head out and try to say hello to people on in person.

Such a great shame it didn't happen. It might well have been astonishing. Gateshead next night was really good.

The Barbican must be rescheduled!

Tick seen the latest email stating that there are hopes to reschedule and also that refunds are available.

If there is a rescheduled show I want to go but will my old tickets be valid or do I need to get a refund and then buy new ones...

They should have spent more than £3.10 on it.

If this is rescheduled to a convenient date can I be first in line for any spare tickets from those who can't make it?! I Brownsea Island was fantastic but I feel like I do need the full Sea of Brass experience after all. Especially as they've been playing Lately.

Feel terrible about making light of this, now. Clearly, I was following Pomfob's lead but he was being brave in the face of great disappointment, and it must have been a crushing blow for everyone who turned up primed for a blast of brass, as well as for the band(s) and crew. Hope all those who missed out will experience the wonder at a later date, particularly those who travelled from overseas.

Yeah I feel quite bad about moaning about losing a hundred quid or whatever when there were apparently people from overseas there. Sorry if you are those people. Let's just say I was not in the best of moods for a number of external reasons; it was also the second costly blow in a fortnight given the Rochester cancellation; and finally I was pretty gutted that I'd missed a really important John Peel Day gig by a good friend's legendary-in-some-circles reformed band (and associated meet-up with a bunch of old friends I don't see enough) because when it was announced I'd already booked the tickets/travel/hotel for BSP - I was still sad Saturday morning I couldn't do both but at least it was going to be a very special BSP gig..........
And I asked, "Are you dreaming about a crow?"
And there she was....

Has anyone had a response from the Barbican yet regarding exactly what is happening? I emailed them 2 days ago and have heard nothing

Do we have to get a refund and buy new tickets if it is reschedule, or will existing tickets still be valid?

I was quite accepting of the situation at the time, but as time goes by, its annoying me
How would they survive back in the wild?

From experience whenever a gig has been postponed tickets have always been valid for the rescheduled date. I haven't had this happen at The Barbican before but I can't see why it'd be any different. It'd be ridiculous to give out refunds and then re-sell tickets back to the same people.

I also emailed them and nothing. Friends who were going to see Nils Frahm there last night phoned up in the afternoon and asked if they'd got all the electrics sorted (half taking the piss, admittedly) and the person who answered didn't appear to know what they were talking about.
And I asked, "Are you dreaming about a crow?"

ABSOLUTE FUCKING YES!!!

Pretty much the only Saturday I could go to in Dec/Jan, and even better, another payday will have passed by then.
Sorry for anyone who can't make it though. Me I fucking needed some good news this week, I hope this is a sign that November is going to be less shit than October.
