Sea Of Brass logistics question

Postby Blackout » Mon Sep 15, 2014 12:57 pm

It's getting to that time where a few of us are looking into booking travel and stuff for the October / November brass events and was wondering if anyone from BSP management etc could confirm as it would be most useful to know - most of these have a 7.30 or 8pm "start", are they all going to be like the Durham one where there's no support just a relatively early BSP+brass performance and all over by 9.30 or 10ish? In my case I'm specifically interested in the Coventry, London and Gateshead ones from this point of view but I'm sure others will be interested in others. Makes a massive difference in terms of having to book accommodation or not. Thanks.
And I asked, "Are you dreaming about a crow?"
And there she was....

I emailed De La Warr Pavilion a week ago to ask same question, as I wanted to know if it was possible to catch the last train. They said no stage times had been confirmed with BSP yet, so if it's the same for other venues it sounds like they haven't firmed things up yet.
Kevo or Matthew Wood? Malevolence or good?

As I recall, Kevo, the DLWP have quite a strict curfew, presumably owing to the 100% blue-rinse population of Bexhill. Pretty sure nothing I've seen there has ever gone on much after 10.30, anyway (even Mogwai) so you ought to be OK on that night, at least.

In case anyone hasn't seen it, the band have just tweeted:

Please note all SEA OF BRASS performances have no support. Doors generally 7/7.30pm & all done by 9.30/10pm. (Specifics to follow)

Very interesting interview. Was it me or did the version of Bear they played sound different to the one on the EP? The version I have is from the Zeus EP, is there another version knocking about or am I just going mad?? The more I read/listen about the Sea of Brass shows the more exciting I am, think it will sound amazing, really hope they play the Bear.

Just in case I've missed it, has there been any further word on a start time for the Bexhill show on Friday?

Not wanting to split hairs, but the difference between a 7:30 or an 8pm start could very well dictate whether I get to stop for a wee and a sandwich somewhere along the A22 or not.

You know, not simultaneously, obviously.

Thank you very much for this. I used to be on Twitter, but then one day realised that I was doing it all as token effort and chucked it in.

I will think of you, with gratitude, as I am eating a sandwich. Although not during the other activity mentioned.
