Any word on supports for April yet?

Postby Blackout » Fri Feb 28, 2014 5:30 pm

Or - as has been the case before - anyone got enough time on their hands to go internet fishing and see if there's any bands proudly announcing they'll be supporting BSP somewhere?

Personally I'm hoping for someone shit in York cos it's always a bit frantic getting there in time, but I realise that's a bit mean to Yorkies only going to that one, so somebody not too great would be acceptable. Obviously I'd like totally amazing bands for all the ones I am going to. Cheers.
And I asked, "Are you dreaming about a crow?"
And there she was....

Just discovered Georgia Ruth via the recent folk awards. Chilled bi linguistic Welsh lady, bought her album Week of Pines and was impressed. Just a thought.

Cheers for the tip. Will check her out. I'd rather they supported themselves with an acoustic set for openers. Don't bring Milk and biscuits again - they were okay but once was enough. If they are open to offers, I'll do a few finger in yer ear songs for them.

No probs, I'm not one to make suggestions but have been impressed with the album. Picked it up for £7.99 on Proper Music. That said like you, another BSP mellow/acoustic opener would also be welcomed.

How about the Pre New? Brilliant at Krankenhaus and should get everyone out of their comfort zone.
Kevo or Matthew Wood? Malevolence or good?

Younghusband, Proper Ornaments or Outfit would do nicely.

I'm hoping for support from BSP (see also the "one wish" thread).

A second vote for the Pre New and/or Proper Ornaments!
What are you artists from Manchester doing in Morecambe?

I'm sure you've lifted that from someone's Grindr profile...

At this late stage, I think we shall have to prepare ourselves for whatever band Rough Trade are trying to push at the moment, and ~ or whatever the local band the venue or promoter has taken a fancy to or is parent of.

Happy to be proved wrong, of course.

I am optimistic, remembering Race Horses in Birmingham, Bo Ningen at the Kentish Town Forum, and East India Youth at The Market, Hove, all in recent years.
